Itineraries

Day 1

Time : 5:00 AM

Pune - Tuljapur (300 km / approx. 5.5 hrs) - Akkalkot (65 km / approx. 1.5 hrs)

The journey begins at 5:00 AM from the designated pick-up point in Pune. On the way towards Tuljapur, a delicious breakfast is served en route near Bhigavan. Upon arrival, visit Shri Tulja Bhavani Temple, an important pilgrimage site known for its divine aura. This goddess is the Kuldevi of many Maharashtrian families. After taking blessings and darshan, enjoy lunch and depart for Akkalkot. On reaching Akkalkot, check in to the hotel and freshen up. Visit the sacred Vatvruksha temple of Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj, where Samarth took his last breath. Next, visit Shri Khandoba Temple, where Swami Samarth Maharaj had his first darshan in Akkalkot. Later, proceed to Cholappa Matha, also known as Samadhi Mandir, where the Samadhi of Swami Samarth Maharaj is located. Overnight stay at the hotel with a Satvik dinner in Akkalkot.

Day 2

Time : 5:00 AM

Akkalkot - Gangapur (75 km / approx. 1.5 hours) - Pandharpur (175 km / approx. 4 hours) - Pune (210 km / approx. 5 hours)

Start the second day at 5:00 AM and depart for Gangapur by cruiser car. Your bus will halt in Akkalkot itself. Here, visit the Shri Nirgun Paduka Matha, where Shri Narasimha Saraswati Maharaj installed the Nirgun Padukas of Lord Dattatreya. If time permits, visit the Sangam Kshetra, where Narasimha Saraswati Maharaj performed spiritual meditation, and the Kalleshwar Temple. After Darshan, have breakfast at a local eatery before proceeding to Pandharpur. And depart for Akalkot. Board your bus at Akalkot and depart for Pandharpur.

Upon arrival at Pandharpur, seek blessings at the Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Temple and have Mukh Darshan (face-to-face darshan of the deity from a distance of 10-15 feet). Note that there are two types of darshan queues: one for Pad Darshan (touching the feet of the deity), which can take 5-6 hours, and the other for Mukh Darshan, which is faster. After Darshan, enjoy lunch in Pandharpur before starting the return journey to Pune. Expect to reach Pune between 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM, although the journey time may vary depending on traffic conditions.
