Itineraries

Day 1

Pune/Mumbai to Gorakhpur

Today, we will begin our journey from Pune to Gorakhpur by train as per the scheduled time.

Day 2

Train Journey

Those pilgrims who did not get tickets from Pune or wish to join the tour from other cities will start their journey from Mumbai today according to their respective train schedules. The entire day will be spent traveling by train, and everyone will meet in Gorakhpur the following day.

Day 3

Arrival in Gorakhpur – Lumbini (Nepal)

Upon arrival at Gorakhpur railway station, the group departs towards the Sonauli border and enters Nepal. After crossing the border, the journey continues to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Here, guests experience the Maya Devi Temple, Ashoka Pillar, the serene and expansive Lumbini Garden, the Lotus Pond, and the Buddhist monasteries in the monastery zone built by various countries. The World Peace Pagoda, a symbol of peace, is also visited in the area. In the evening, we rest and stay overnight in the peaceful atmosphere of Lumbini.

Day 4

Lumbini to Jomsom

Today begins with a scenic journey from Lumbini to Jomsom. Traveling via Pokhara, one can witness lush green valleys, picturesque landscapes adorned with flowing streams, and magnificent views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks in the distance. The beautiful view of the Kali Gandaki valley can be experienced along the mountain roads. Upon reaching Jomsom, guests check in and rest to acclimatize to the altitude.

Day 5

Jomsom – Muktinath – Pokhara

Early in the morning, the group departs for a visit to the sacred Muktinath Temple. Situated amidst the Annapurna and Nilgiri mountain ranges, Muktinath is a highly important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Here, one can see 108 sacred water tanks and also witness the continuously burning flame. After the darshan, the group returns to Pokhara. In the evening, they enjoy the reflection of the Annapurna mountain range in the tranquil waters of Phewa Lake and the charming atmosphere of Lakeside. The overnight stay is in Pokhara.

Day 6

Pokhara Sightseeing – Kathmandu

Today, the morning begins with visits to Pokhara's main tourist attractions. Guests visit the Bindhyabasini Devi Temple, followed by experiencing the spectacular view of the underground waterfall at Davis Falls. Further on, they explore the rich history of the Gupteshwar Cave and experience the natural formation of the Seti River gorge. At the Tibetan Refugee Camp, they interact with the locals. An opportunity to see and buy handicrafts is available. After the darshan, the group departs for Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, the guests rest and in the evening experience the cultural atmosphere of Thamel Market. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 7

Kathmandu Sightseeing

Today is dedicated to experiencing the spiritual and cultural heritage of Kathmandu. In the morning, the group visits the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, followed by a visit to the Guhyeshwari Devi Temple. Further on, the serene surroundings of the Boudhanath Stupa offer a glimpse into Buddhist culture. The journey to Swayambhunath Temple provides panoramic views of the entire city. After lunch, the beauty of ancient Newari art at Patan Durbar Square is experienced. If sufficient time is available, a visit to the Budhanilkantha Temple is also included. Evening relaxation in Kathmandu.

Day 8

Kathmandu to Janakpur

After breakfast, the group departs for Janakpur. This city, rich in Mithila culture, is famous as the birthplace of Goddess Sita. Upon arrival, a visit is made to the magnificent Janaki Temple. Next, the historical Ram-Sita Vivah Mandap is visited, where the belief of their divine marriage is recounted. This is followed by visits to the mythological reservoirs of Dhanush Sagar and Ganga Sagar. In the evening, the local market of Janakpur offers a cultural experience. The day ends with an overnight stay in Janakpur.

Day 9

Janakpur – Darbhanga – Mumbai Train

After breakfast in the morning, the group enters India and proceeds to Darbhanga. From Darbhanga railway station, a train to Mumbai is boarded. From this moment, the beautiful Nepal pilgrimage concludes.

Day 10

Train Journey

The entire day is spent on the train journey towards Mumbai. Pilgrims can rest or reminisce about their experiences.

Day 11

Arrival in Mumbai

The train arrives at Mumbai railway station early in the morning. Here, our tour officially concludes. Heartfelt thanks to all the pilgrims.
